1979

  • Toyoinki (M) Sdn Bhd was incorporated in February.


  • At the same year Toyoinki (M) Sdn Bhd renamed as Toyo Ink Sdn Bhd, and be a manufacturer of gravure & flexographic printing inks for the packaging industry in Malaysia.

1983

  • Subsidiary Toyo Photo Products Sdn Bhd incorporated, supplies the highest quality consumables, equipment & services to the graphics art industry.

1990

  • A joint venture company name Toyo Dai-nichi Ink Sdn Bhd was formed between Toyo Ink Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and Dainichiseika of Japan. The company specialized in the manufacturing of web off-set and newspaper inks with technological assistance from our Japanese joint venture partners.

1992

  • Toyo Ink (Perak) Sdn Bhd incorporated, marketing the products of Toyo Group & operates from Ipoh, Perak.

1996

  • Toyo Ink (Penang) Sdn Bhd incorporated, marketing the products of Toyo Group in the Northern States of Peninsular Malaysia.

1999

  • Toyo Ink Sdn Bhd achieved ISO9002 Quality Certification in March.

2002

  • Toyo Ink Sdn Bhd achieved the upgrading in quality standard to ISO9001: 2000 standard as a Quality Manufacturer of printing ink

2003

  • Toyo Ink Group Berhad listed in Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.


  • Bought over BASF’s “Glasurit” & “Masterbatch” business for Malaysia & Brunei market.

2005

  • Toyo Ink (Melaka) Sdn Bhd incorporated

2008

  • Achieved ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems.
