MASTERBATCH

Masterbatch

Noun masterbatch (plural masterbatches) A solid product (normally of plastic, rubber, or elastomer) in which pigments or additives are optimally dispersed at high concentration in a carrier material.

PP (POLYPROPYLENE)

PP plastic masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments or additives that are added to polypropylene resin during the manufacturing process in order to enhance or alter its properties. When added to the polymer matrix, these additives can enhance properties such as colour, UV resistance, flammability, and thermal stability.

  • Non-woven fabrics
  • Spinning, weaving
  • Extrusion, blown film, injection molding products

PE (POLYETHYLENE)

PE filler masterbatch is a combination of 80-85% pure Calcium Carbonate CaCO3 powder with polyethylene PE as the carrier and other appropriate additives. Masterbatches of PE filler serve to reduce production costs and enhance the physical properties of the final product. It is typically brilliant white, glossy, and grain-size uniform.

  • Injection molding: Housewares, tanks, toys
  • Extrusion: PE/HDPE pipe, bar, …
  • Blow molding: HDPE bottles, containers, cans, …
  • Woven: HDPE Tarpaulin
